Voice over internet protocol, widely known as VoIP, is a new form of communications brought about by the developments of
fast communication technologies. It is digital communications carried by internet connectivity, thus promises to be the most efficient and cost-effective means of telecommunications in the very near future. But, because of certain security issues, it has not yet reached mainstream popularity, and choosing which internet connection to have partnered with it is indeed a must for potential VoIP users or subscribers.
DSL provides us with fast internet connectivity at an affordable price. It is a broadband connection, not unlike the more expensive T1 connectivity. Partnering it with VoIP capabilities would evidently be the choice over WiFi. Yet I am rather confused why people prefer to use
mobile phones over conventional telephones though preferring DSL over WiFi. Maybe because WiFi networks are yet to be secure, but why can't it be as secure as cellular networks?
Thus, VoIP with WiFi would not only increase certain security issues both technologies pose, but it would also address the issue of accessibility.
WiFi connectivity is yet to be global, so this would very much be a problem for seamless communications with VoIP on WiFi. VoIP on DSL would be much secure and definitely more accessible, for DSL networks are well around the world, maybe even circling it twice! The only problem DSL with VoIP poses is the security problem that is yet to be resolved with VoIP. But if it becomes more secure than the more expensive use of cellular networks for telecommunications, chances are DSL with VoIP would eventually replace conventional telephony.
Because of the fast development of internet connections, the world wide web is now a booming industry. Websites are essential in businesses, corporations, or even to an individual. Websites offer such institutions and individuals a platform in which to
